It’s the question that’s on almost every woman’s mind before her boudoir shoot – even if she doesn’t always ask it out loud: What actually happens to my photos?

Who can see them? Where do they end up? And what if I change my mind later?

These questions aren’t just valid – they’re important. Boudoir photos are among the most personal photos there are. That’s why I’d like to tell you quite openly here how I handle them – from the very first click right through to years after the shoot.

The most important principle first

Your photos belong to you. Not a single photo will be displayed without your express, written consent.

Not on my website, not on Instagram or Facebook, not in my portfolio, not in an exhibition, not ‘just for a quick look’ to a colleague. Everything that follows is based on this principle.

During the shoot

You’re in control right from the photo shoot:

  • You’ll be able to see the photos on the screen as we go along. If you don’t like a particular pose, we’ll leave it out.
  • There’s no one else in the room, unless you’d like there to be – such as a companion or my wife.
  • I don’t take any mobile phone photos ‘on the spur of the moment’. I only take photos with my camera.

After the shoot: Your private gallery

Once the images have been edited, you’ll be able to view them in a private online gallery on my website. It is:

  • password-protected – only those with the link and password can open them,
  • invisible to search engines – it does not appear on Google,
  • Not linked anywhere – you won’t find them via the menu or an overview.

In your gallery, you can take your time choosing which photos you’d like to keep. If you don’t like a photo, simply don’t select it. You only need to share the link and password if you want to – for example, with your partner if the photos are a present.

Image editing with respect

I edit your photos myself. I retouch them gently: I remove anything temporary – a spot, a mark left by a strap – but I don’t alter your body shape. You should be able to recognise yourself in your photos.

Furthermore, your images will not be used to train AI systems. This is expressly excluded in my model release, unless you give your consent yourself.

What if I want to show some pictures?

Some women are so proud of their photos after the shoot that they’d love to show them off – or let me use individual photos for my portfolio. That always makes me very happy. But even then, you’re the one who decides on every detail.

That’s what my model release is for – a written agreement that you can easily complete and sign online. In it, you specify:

  • where images may be displayed – with a ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ for each channel individually, such as the website, Instagram, exhibitions,
  • whichever pictures you’d like – you can have a look at them beforehand and exclude any you don’t want,
  • how you’re referred to – by your full name, just your first name, your Instagram name, or completely anonymously,
  • what restrictions apply – for example, ‘only without showing your face’ or ‘only in the password-protected 18+ section’.

Your privacy preferences always take precedence. And your address, date of birth and contact details will never be published.

What if I change my mind later?

Life circumstances change, and that’s perfectly fine. If you’ve given your consent for photos to be used and later feel uncomfortable about it, just get in touch. The conditions under which consent can be withdrawn are clearly set out in your model release. I’ll then remove the photos from my own channels and won’t share them with anyone else.

And to be perfectly honest: I don’t want to show a photo of you in which you don’t feel comfortable. My reputation depends on women trusting me – not on having a particular photo in my portfolio.

Your details

To finalise the booking and contract, I’ll need a few personal details, such as your name and email address. I’ll use this information solely for our photoshoot. I won’t pass it on to anyone else, I won’t sell it, and I won’t send you any advertising unless you’d like me to. You can find all the details in my privacy policy.

If you wish, I will delete your data and images, provided there are no legal obligations to retain them. A quick message will suffice.

In a nutshell

  • Your photos belong to you.
  • Nothing will be shown without your written consent.
  • Your gallery is private, password-protected and invisible to search engines.
  • You decide, frame by frame and channel by channel.
  • Your personal details will never be published.
  • You can always talk to me if anything changes for you.

Any questions?

If there’s anything else on your mind, just ask me – during the initial consultation, by email or via WhatsApp. No question is too small when it comes to your photos.
