My studio in Laberweinting is a safe space, designed specifically for boudoir photography. And yet, during the initial consultation, I keep hearing the same thing: “I actually feel most at ease at home.”

I understand that perfectly. At home, you know every nook and cranny. Your bed, your armchair, the light in the morning – all of that is part of who you are. You don’t have to get used to a strange room first, and you save yourself the journey.

That’s why my approach is this: your boudoir shoot doesn’t have to take place in the studio. I’ll come to you with my mobile studio – or we can choose a location together that suits you and your story.

Why the best photos are often taken at home

You’re more relaxed. When you feel at ease, you let go. And that’s exactly what you can see in the photos: your gaze is softer, your posture more natural, and your smile more genuine.

The photos tell your story. Your favourite jumper draped over the back of a chair, the books on your bedside table, the view from your window: it’s details like these that make photos personal. They don’t show just any woman in just any room, but you – in your own life.

Everything’s within easy reach. Your entire wardrobe’s right there. If you suddenly think of another outfit, you can just grab it.

A lovely gift for your partner. Photos taken in your shared bedroom or on the sofa where you sit every evening have a special sense of intimacy all of their own.

What the mobile studio has to offer

I don’t just turn up with a camera. My mobile studio is kitted out so that I can take professional photos even in a perfectly ordinary bedroom: I have my own lighting, which I use strategically when there isn’t enough natural light or when we want to create a particular atmosphere. Where the light coming through the window is lovely, I make the most of it, of course.

So you don’t need a designer flat. A room where you feel at home is enough – the rest is down to light, perspective and a bit of experience.

Or somewhere completely different

It doesn’t have to be your home. Sometimes another place suits your story better:

  • a lovely hotel room or suite – perfect for a short break with an overnight stay
  • a holiday flat or holiday cottage with a special charm
  • a place that means something to you

What’s important to me is this: boudoir photography requires privacy. That’s why we only choose locations where we won’t be disturbed and where no one can watch us. In the case of hotels or holiday flats, I’ll check with you in advance to make sure photography is permitted there.

Discretion – even in your own home

The same rules apply for a photoshoot at your place as they do in my studio. I’ll arrive on time and keep a low profile, treat your home with respect, and only go into the rooms where we’re taking photos. What I see at your place stays with you.

Here, too, you decide how far you want to go, and you’re free to take a break or say no at any time. If you’d like, someone you trust can be present. All of this is set out in my code of conduct – and it applies wherever I take photographs.

How to prepare

You don’t need to rearrange the whole flat. But a few little touches can help:

  • A room with natural light is ideal. The bedroom is a good choice, but the living room or bathroom can also be lovely.
  • Making up the bed – light, subtle colours without large patterns look best.
  • Clear small items out of the way: charging cables, the laundry basket, full shelves. If necessary, we’ll even work together to quickly move anything that’s in the way out of the way.
  • Ensure a quiet environment: Plan your time so that children, flatmates or visitors are not in the house. And it’s best to keep pets in another room during the shoot.
  • Turn the heating up a little. You’ll feel the cold more quickly than you think when you’re in lingerie or with bare skin.
  • Lay out our outfits so we don’t have to spend ages looking for them.

We’ll discuss everything else during the preliminary meeting. I’d also be happy to have a look at a few mobile photos of your rooms beforehand. Then I’ll be able to tell you where the best light will be.

And what about the studio?

The studio is, of course, a wonderful option, especially if you can’t find a quiet moment at home or simply want to get out for a bit. It’s small but fully equipped, and for special shoots there’s a spacious bathroom, a hayloft-style loft and a large garden that’s virtually hidden from view.

So the choice is yours. And there’s no wrong decision – just the one that makes you feel most comfortable.

Just tell me during our initial chat where you feel most like yourself. Then we’ll work together to find the right location for your photos.
