Perhaps you’ve come across this before: you receive photos from a photographer, and there’s a name across the image, right in the corner or half-transparent across the back. A logo. A web address.
You won’t find that with me. The images you receive from me won’t have a watermark. No logo, no text, no signature in the image.
That’s a deliberate decision. I’ll explain why here.
Your pictures are your pictures
A boudoir photoshoot is something very personal. You take time for yourself, you reveal yourself, you let yourself go. What emerges in the end are pictures of you – not of me.
A watermark changes all that. It turns your photo into an advertisement for the photographer. Every time you look at it, the first thing you see is someone else’s name. To me, that doesn’t fit with what a boudoir shoot is meant to be: a gift to yourself.
Nothing should come between you and your picture
I take great care with every photograph: the lighting, the pose, the expression, and a calm composition. Text superimposed on the skin or at the edge of the frame immediately draws the eye away. It disrupts precisely what makes the photograph special.
Especially when you print out a photo, frame it or put it in an album, it should look exactly as it’s meant to: clear, calm and truly a part of you.
Discretion: Nobody needs to know where your photos were taken
There is another reason that is particularly important to me. A watermark reveals where an image comes from.
Perhaps you’ll show a photo to your partner or a friend. Perhaps you’ll forward one, or perhaps you’ll use a subtle photo as your profile picture. That’s your decision – and it’s nobody else’s business which photographer you went to. Without a watermark, that’s entirely up to you.
For me, discretion isn’t just an added bonus – it’s fundamental. You can find out more about how I handle your photos in my post ‘What actually happens to my photos?’
“But doesn’t a watermark protect against misuse?”
To be honest: hardly. A logo at the edge of an image can be cropped out with a single click, and even one in the middle of the image can be removed in a matter of seconds these days. Above all, a watermark makes an image look uglier, not more secure.
Real protection comes from elsewhere:
- You’ll receive your photos privately. Not via a public website, but entirely personally – just for you.
- Nothing will be shown without your permission. I will not publish a single image for which you have not given me your express written consent. And you are the one who decides the terms of that consent: which images, where and in what form.
- Clear rules, set out in writing. We’ll work out together what can and cannot be done with your images. That protects you more than any logo ever could.
And what about my art editions?
There is no lettering on the image there either. Instead, I sign my fine art prints in the way that has always been customary in photography: by hand, with a number, on the print itself, and with a certificate of authenticity. This is a signature that forms part of the image – not one that is superimposed on it.
A picture that’s all yours
Ultimately, I hope that when you look at your photos, you see just one thing: yourself. Your strength, your beauty, your moment. No logo, no advertising, nothing to get in the way.

I’m looking forward to seeing you.
